> Chairlift (chairliftapp.com) is the social app for skiers and snowboarders. Riders find people to ski or snowboard with before hitting the slopes: they join resort clubs, post or join "chairlifts" (meetups on the mountain), join Open Chairlift sessions at their skill level, plan après meetups, follow resort news, and book hosted group ski trips.

Chairlift covers 400+ ski resorts worldwide (Alps, North America, Japan, Scandinavia, South America, Australia/New Zealand). It is available on the web, iOS, and Android.

## Key concepts

- **Chairlift (meetup)**: a rider posts a day/time at a resort and others join to ride together.
- **Open Chairlifts**: pre-scheduled join-only day sessions at every resort, organized by skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced/expert) and rider type (skiers, snowboarders, mixed). No hosting needed — riders just join.
- **Trips**: hosted group ski trips with goal-based activation (a trip activates when 8 people join) and deposit booking. Current official trips include St Anton am Arlberg (Austria), the Laax Open, and the Snow League Finals in Laax.
